Whether it's
  • Capturing a learning 'moment' in time (When the Frogs arrive at the door......)
  • Recording a student's wonderings (All the questions you just can't get to in a day)
  • Recording student reflections (Visually and orally "So how are you feeling about....?" "How do you think you went today.......?" "What would you do differently next time......?")
  • Gathering assessment data eg Pre (week 1) and Post (Week 10) reading of a text
  • Capturing the 'atmosphere' eg recording at a school event (Swimming sports, Grandparents Day)

There is always a time and place for one gadget or another (a time and place where pen and paper just aren't enough, a time where the digital form is more powerful, memorable and learner appropriate).

Visit 'my' "Celebrating ICT" blog to view examples of capturing
  • Authentic learning opportunities
  • Learning environments
  • Student voice

in a variety of ways.

Visit 'my' "Kids Konnect" Wiki's Reflection page to listen to learners reflecting on their experiences - recorded by Kids for Kids.

Visit 'my' "Kids Konnect" Wiki's Poets page to listen to children reading their "Remember that time" poems. This is an example of the Easi Speak Mic 'coming to the rescue'.......when I was unable to upload the original recorded Poem (due to the size of the file), I played the poem (created in Keynote or could easily use Power Point) and recorded it using the Easi Speak. Then I was able to upload the sound seperately and solve the problem!
